The BioStock Life Science Summit takes place during two days and features showcases from +25 private and listed life science companies. The program also includes panel discussions with leading portfolio managers, expert investors and business development professionals, who will share crucial insights on life science investments, capital raising and business development with extra focus on the Nordic markets.
To sum it all up, The Summit is a conveniently accessible, must-attend online meeting for any serious investor or startup, early stage- or maturing company executive looking for a competitive edge.

2020 Agenda
The main goal of the BioStock Life Science Summit is to bring together life science innovation with investors interested in the Nordic life science scene and potential scientific or commercial partners. Once again, we are happy to present a large number of small to medium-sized Nordic pharma, biotech, medical device and diagnostics companies, who will pitch to our online audience during the two days of the event. The program also includes three panel discussions involving top level stakeholders in the life science ecosystem.

2019 Highlights
The annual BioStock Life Science Summit, which successfully debuted in 2018, attracted more than 250 guests during two days in 2019. The Summit is unique in that it not only gives companies a platform to showcase their projects and pitch them to investors. It is also an educational forum for companies looking to raise capital and/or reach a partnership as investors and potential partners share insights, experiences and strategies.
The 2019 event featured a number of thought provoking panel sessions on the subjects of investments, financing and partnering, which can all be viewed below.

Investor Insights – in search of the next Nordic unicorn
The first panel discussion at BioStock Life Science Summit 2019 featured representatives from major investors in the Nordics such as Björn Odlander from HealthCap, Ingrid Teigland Akay from Hadean Ventures, Johan Kördel from Lundbeckfonden Ventures, along with biotech entrepreneur Carl Borrebaeck from Lund University.

Investing in Innovations – from discovery to market
The second panel discussion at BioStock Life Science Summit 2019 featured Mattias Häggblom from Swedbank Robur Medica, Daniel Bolanowski from Arctic Aurora LifeScience, and Claus Johansen from Danske Bank Asset Management whom gave their expert insights on what fundmanagers look for before they decide to invest.

(Re)fueling the unique Nordic ecosystem – corporate finance & capital raise insights
Financial advisors Benjamin Nordin from ABG Sundal Collier, Jonas Ljungström from Naventus, Kristofer Krolak from Vator Securities, and Stefan Lundberg from Erik Penser Bank all gave their expert insights on capital raising and corporate finance, including giving advice to early stage companies looking to go public.

Industry insights – Partnering in the Nordic region
BioStock Life Science Summit was also a great opportunity for small pharma and medtech companies to meet and discuss potential partnership deals with Big Pharma. This panel session featured Anna Gran from Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Ralf W. Ackermann from Bayer Pharmaceutical, and Åsa Sjöholm-Timén from AstraZeneca shared their view on what big pharma players are looking for in potential partners.

Key learnings from entering a Big Pharma partnership
The final panel of the Summit event focused on lessons learned from past partnerships. Here, AstraZenca and Bayer were joined by representatives of two companies with partnership experience with the respective pharma giants: OnDosis and Pilloxa, in a panel featuring Jan Børge Jakobsen from Bayer Pharmaceutical, Per Nilsson from Pilloxa, Kay Brickmann from AstraZeneca, and Martin Olovsson from OnDosis, whom all shared their partnering experiences from different perspectives.
